Soil Amendment

A soil amendment is any material that is added to a soil to improve its physical properties, such as water retention, permeability, water infiltration, drainage, aeration and structure. The goal is to provide a better environment for roots. To do its work, an amendment must be thoroughly mixed into the soil.

Organic Fertilizers & Compost
Composting is a process that recycles organic materials, that would otherwise be regarded as waste products, into a soil conditioner that is rich in essential nutrients for plant growth and is often used as fertilizer.
Fertilizer adds to the soil's nutrient supply, but instead of feeding the soil, the ingredients in fertilizers are intended to meet the needs of fast-growing plants. Organic fertilizers such as manures, compost or bone meal are derived directly from plant or animal sources. Organic fertilizers that feed the soil and sustain plants include animal waste and byproducts, such as bird and bat guano, blood meal, bone meal, feather meal, leather meal, as well as fish and kelp fertilizers.

Anaerobic Digestion (AD)
Anaerobic Digestion is a process through which bacteria breaks down organic matter, such as animal manure, wastewater biosolids, and food wastes, in the absence of oxygen. Digestate is the material remaining (residues) after the anaerobic digestion of a biodegradable feedstock. The primary use of digestate is as a soil conditioner. Acidogenic digestate provides moisture retention and organic content for soils. Methanogenic digestate provides nutrients for plant growth. It can also be used to protect soils against erosion.

Bio Residuals
Organic residues, sludges, residual bio materials, Bio-Sludge. If you wish to Buy or Sell BioResiduals, Please feel free to make an inquiry to the online insulation products exchange.

Biochar
Biochar is a charcoal-like substance made by burning organic material from agricultural and forestry wastes in a process called pyrolysis. Biochar is added to compost and is used as a soil amendment.

Calcium Recovery
Shell Residue Wastes such as egg shells, snail shells, seashells such as clam & Oyster shells can be processed into Recovered Calcium Powders. Recovered Calcium ByProducts are used in Animal Feed Supplements or as Soil Amendment Products.
Calcium carbonate, the chief component of limestone, is a widely used amendment to neutralize soil acidity and to supply calcium (Ca) for plant nutrition.
